The cover design features mountains succeeding from the mountains in the foreground. This symbolizes the author’s physical journey through Nepal, as well as his inner journey with ups and downs. The idea behind it is to show that there is always another mountain-top to climb.
The book is written as a kind of travel diary, where the reader gets an insight to what happens each day of the author’s journey. The date entries got a slightly quirkier font, resembling handwriting more than the main body face. Each chapter opening is accompanied with a Buddhist symbol, which has a very strong impact. The weights of the type have then been adjusted to accompany for this, to balance out the weight throughout the book.
